Sword of $70k

Dear @FantomFDN @polterfinance,

Hi. I'd like my 90k $FTM back from the $gFTM I was unable to withdraw from @GeistFinance, even though there was no borrow against it.

How do I convert this $gFTM to $FTM, please?

Thanks.

Don't say: "$POLTER airdrop," as that's $17 in total.

The Terra Immolation

Never mind when $LUNA was $120-per. Forget that. That was a dream of a dream.

Let's be realistic.

Remember when $LUNA used to be $1.20-per?

I do. It was April, 2024. Before somebody got paid a 4 MILLION $USDC bonus after killing protocols and driving $LUNA price into the dirt.

And I'm wondering: I'm still getting the pay-back from the Terra-crash, a trickle of $LUNA at 40¢-per.

Where are the 4 MILLION $USDC (not $LUNA, $USDC) bonuses to us who stuck with Terra 2, keeping it alive, all this time, so that 'somebody' at the top could collect that bonus?

When @TheRyanLion reinjects hope and volume into Terra 2, only to have the rug pulled out from under him, where protocols he started with are now just ... gone?

Why do blockchains do this? When they encounter a major blow, instead of fighting back, they immolate themselves.

And remember that @astroport_fi used to be this whole ecosystem on Terra, and now ... what? It doesn't even default to Terra any more!

Dear blockchains,

Don't do this. Don't 'reinvent yourself' by ABANDONING your PROTOCOLS and even your BLOCKCHAINS!

You've abandoned your communities, and you'll NEVER recover.

NEVER.

You've lost your communities' trust. You can't buy that back with new, false, promises.

Announcement: removing liquidity from Kujira

Announcement.

I am destaking and removing all liquidity from @TeamKujira. I'm now no longer using that blockchain nor its assets in trading and arbitrage. Same for @cosmos $ATOM.

Kujira was supposed to be 'grown-up defi,' learning its lessons from the @terra_money-crash.

It's ironic, then, that $LUNA, and associated assets, have faired much better than $KUJI, $ATOM, and $OSMO these past few months.

Not a funny irony: a sad irony, and a painful one.

"Rugged by Kujira" was not on my crypto bingo card, but nor was rugged by Terra, rugged by Harmony, and rugged by Fantom.

Am I bitter? No. I am resolved. I'm going to make it, and I'm going to prove I'm going to make it, despite these crashes, unfortunate, imprudent, or no.

Erudite asks:

"Not excited about the migration?"
Fair question.

No. I am not excited by the migration. Every migration has cost me more than 95% of my investiture.

I am now focusing on blockchains and assets that have proved they can weather the storms: top-15 by market cap. They'll go down, sure, but they come back up.

I've yet to see a migration from any of these alt-chains that have provided a solid business-case of their utility, nor have provided a reason to place my trust into them.

"We screwed up, but we're in a new sitch, so you lost all your liquidity, but give us more because NEW!"

Under my own value-metric, 'new' is not a value-contributor, but a value-inhibitor. A token of value has history and durability. A migration does not prove either. Time does.

I'll give the new-Kujira (and new-everything else), time to gestate AND mature.

Then I'll evaluate them.

Exiting FTM positions

I am exiting all my $FTM positions.

With turbulance on @FantomFDN, with it transitioning to its new token $S, I no longer know if $FTM will hold value, long-term.

I'm sad, because Fantom was a cute, cheap blockchain.

Too bad they got hacked.

Too bad I lost $69k in that hack.

Daily cryptocurrency income report, 2022-08-02

Daily #cryptocurrency income report, 2022-08-02: $30.27*

What's interesting to note here is that all my income yesterday came from 'dead' chains.

I'd like to change this story, soon, if I may. 🤔

*does not include auto-restaked yields nor x-token gains.
