Kujira Crash: alts

Here's a casualty of the Kujira self-implosion.

@Quark_Protocol.

Eleven quark tokens. How much work went into setting up the protocol? How much went into integrating @unstake_fi? How much work went into creating each of ELEVEN TOKENS? All of them to be worthless soon.

Here's something to think about: Kujira alts.

Remember when these tokens were going somewhere? And now?

If you don't remember their prices: here they were.

KUJI $5.10
NSTK $0.28
AQLA $0.06
FUZN $0.06
WINK $0.11
MNTA $0.82

How much did you lose on betting on their futures?

Kujira Krash: some data

Y'all remember when $KUJI was nearly $5-per? ... and was only going up, according to everybody?

That was March 8th of this year.

It's ... 'funny' (?) how assets on the Kujira blockchain seem to have such a strong correlation?

$MNTA

Why did $MNTA have to follow $KUJI's plummet so d-mn hard? When $KUJI went down, they took more than themselves down with them.

Data are so interesting. Charts are so interesting. Take the KUJI/MNTA EMA-20 chart.

... anybody wanna hazard a guess as to when the $KUJI-Krash okkur'd?

Kujira fall-out: lessons learned?

Huh. Somebody got some free $BTC from me on an ORCA liquidation of $KUJI at 20%. I should've made out, but I didn't.

Somebody got all my $PAXG. Same, and same.

Kujira taught me a lot, and I'm grateful for that.

I just wish I didn't have to learn these lessons so painfully.

KART and Kujira-relaunch: lessons learned

Whilst working on my daily portfolio reports, I ran across this bit of research I did.

Remember when I said that $KART was a risky investment, even at 98% discount? And showed my numbers? And was savaged on X?

$KART-buyers: are you okay today?

I feel sad for being right.

And it's not that "Oh! This and that unexpected thing happened! That's why $KART went down! Not your analysis!"

It is that my analysis supported prevailing wisdom: new things break in unexpected ways. That was my point, all along, and the data supports that, across the board.

What I'm sad about being right is that many chose to take my analyses personally, and let their emotions rule their responses to me and their investment-decisions.

New stuff takes time to settle. Please don't be a β tester of a token at launch, no matter how smexy its marketing.

"Oh, but didn't you get burned in the Kujira-crash?"

Yeup. I sure did. And in the Terra-crash, and in the Harmony bridge-hack, and in the $USDC 10%-dip that splat Fantom.

Yeup to all of that.

I learned from those crashes, and honestly and openly share lessons learned.

So: lessons learned.

  • Terra has crashed again-again?
  • Fantom $FTM is rebranding as $S, ... with how much destruction?
  • Harmony is ... 'trying' (?) to recover?

All are much larger chains than Kujira, which is getting how much funding to stand up on a new blockchain, again?

Before considering responding emotionally, remember what my $KART-analysis showed. What was the response? What, actually, occurred?

Dispassionately: is Kujira a viable investment now? Or does it need (a lot of) time to mature?

DYOR. Invest according to your tolerance to risk.

Announcement: removing liquidity from Kujira

Announcement.

I am destaking and removing all liquidity from @TeamKujira. I'm now no longer using that blockchain nor its assets in trading and arbitrage. Same for @cosmos $ATOM.

Kujira was supposed to be 'grown-up defi,' learning its lessons from the @terra_money-crash.

It's ironic, then, that $LUNA, and associated assets, have faired much better than $KUJI, $ATOM, and $OSMO these past few months.

Not a funny irony: a sad irony, and a painful one.

"Rugged by Kujira" was not on my crypto bingo card, but nor was rugged by Terra, rugged by Harmony, and rugged by Fantom.

Am I bitter? No. I am resolved. I'm going to make it, and I'm going to prove I'm going to make it, despite these crashes, unfortunate, imprudent, or no.

Erudite asks:

"Not excited about the migration?"
Fair question.

No. I am not excited by the migration. Every migration has cost me more than 95% of my investiture.

I am now focusing on blockchains and assets that have proved they can weather the storms: top-15 by market cap. They'll go down, sure, but they come back up.

I've yet to see a migration from any of these alt-chains that have provided a solid business-case of their utility, nor have provided a reason to place my trust into them.

"We screwed up, but we're in a new sitch, so you lost all your liquidity, but give us more because NEW!"

Under my own value-metric, 'new' is not a value-contributor, but a value-inhibitor. A token of value has history and durability. A migration does not prove either. Time does.

I'll give the new-Kujira (and new-everything else), time to gestate AND mature.

Then I'll evaluate them.

Manta DAO

I'm glad to see @Manta_DAO making a comeback to the top-5 order books on @TeamKujira FIN.

That being said, it's not (more than) 50% of FIN's 24-hour volume, like it used to be.

I'm looking for a Rocky-style comeback for @Manta_DAO.

SOMM?

Somebody want to clue me in on $SOMM?

What I mean by that is $SOMM was this high-yield lens into @ethereum. It was supposed to be this influence to make CØSMOS legit: an equal to Ethereum without the high fees, but then it faded, big time!

I see it, now, and again.

What gives?

June, 2024 Team Kujira FIN order books: PnL

I just realized yesterday: we're in the month of July!

Let's do the monthly reports.

Before I get into the reports proper(s), let's take a look at something.

This month was a light trading month for me. I only did 4 trades on @TeamKujira FIN worth ~$1k, but I made ~$350 on that ~$1k.

How?

I was trading $KUJI at $1.2-per, but my average cost was 79¢-per!

Wow!

"Well, that's because you're lucky!"

That's one way of looking at it.

Another way of looking at it is this: keep at it, even if you can only do a little, like I did, for the cumulative impact of what you do become amazing over time.

Like it did for me.

#WAGMI

Analysis

Are you picking up what this report is putting down?

My LEAST PROFITABLE DAY EARNED ME $75 on $233 traded?!?!??

That's ... what? ... 34% PROFIT on that trade.

Do that elsewhere. It's possible. But do that elsewhere, consistently, like I do.

This isn't rocket science, folks. I know: I wrote mission planning software for satellites using ephemeris data and quaternions to calculate angles between different 3D-spaces.

This is nothing to that.
