CØSMOS portfolio 2024-05-01

Let's do CØSMOS.

I collect yields from my $LVN-LP on @osmosiszone (thanks, @Levana_protocol)

and I also record (but do not collect) $NLS yields on @NolusProtocol.

@NolusProtocol has a swap now, which they've already announced, which are cool beans!

I transfer the { $LVN, $OSMO, $USDC }-yields to @TeamKujira for ORCA-age and pivot arbitrage.

CØSMOS blockchain report, 2024-03-30

Now, for something completely different, let's visit the CØSMOS blockchain @cosmos and incorporate what I've got there into my SPREADSHEETSZORXEN!

We're (re)starting from scratch, here, folks.

Osmosis

Firstly, I break apart the stOSMO-OSMO LP after unstaking it 2 weeks ago. Then I swap the $stOSMO for $OSMO.

On a $170 investment, I doubled it, thanks to $OSMO's 🚀 price-movement.

It's not all good news: I lost $1,000s on $OSMO LP pairs, including $wBTC and $wETH LPs. ick. 😭

Next, I withdraw liquidity from stJUNO-JUNO LP.

@JunoNetwork was supposed to be this big, breakout, zone on @cosmos. Maybe one day it will be.

Today is not that day.

I sell the $stJUNO and $JUNO for $OSMO and record a 65% loss.

Why do I sell at a loss? Am I stupid?

Well, yes.

AND.

I believe I can make more money with this (reduced) liquidity elsewhere as opposed to HODL'n the $JUNO and hoping it goes up faster than any other play I make now.

That's my wager for this sell-at-a-loss.

I have a stEVMOS-EVMOS LP that I'm unstaking and will take a loss for in two weeks. @EvmosOrg was suppose to be the bridge between @cosmos and the @ethereum-world, ... and, ... it ... is? But what is its relevance, given @KAVA_CHAIN, @sommfinance, and bridges?

I don't know.

Levana

I do have two $LVN-LPs, LVN-OSMO and LVN-USDC, that are cranking out some pretty healthy yields! They stay.

I'm looking forward to two things with $LVN: the @TeamKujira FIN order books activating, so I have a lot invested in bootstrap funds, and $LVN staking on @Levana_protocol.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the $LVN business-case from @Levana_protocol. If that case is 'staking and LPs' then that definition is circular and doesn't make it unique, but if it's "$LVN amps funding fees" or something you can only do with $LVN, then that sets it apart.

Nolus

Now, @Levana_protocol has been BUIDL'n like crazy! You remember their list of assets at the start? And now?

Another protocol that's BUIDL'n is @NolusProtocol.

They had 5 assets you could lease at their start. Now it takes 3 screenshots to capture all the assets they lease!

I have my $NLS staked. Great!

$NLS has escaped its 'down only'-period and is hovering now around 6¢-per.

They have new developments around their leasing protocol that I can't talk now, because it was told to me in confidence, but when these new features hit, ...

Hoo! Baby! 😱

Stride

Finally, @stride_zone. I've used their LSD tokens quite a bit, which, along with staking LPs on @osmosiszone, has generated some $STRD, which I've staked.

3% APY isn't much, but then, the change in price of $STRD, itself (from 70¢-per?), has made this an interesting stake.

Before the new @cosmos portfolio report, I collect the LVN-USDC LP yields.

I also move all assets, $OSMO, $LVN, and $USDC, to where I can use them, that is @TeamKujira. For the $OSMO, I plan on using it as a pivot-asset to arb both $OSMO and $ATOM on my kujiatom addy. For $LVN, I'm bootstrapping the $LVN order book on FIN. The $USDC goes to Ghost at 14%

CØSMOS portfolio, 2024-03-01

Next up: @cosmos

Oh, boy.

For sanity's sake, I'm going to divy these CØSMOS zones into @TeamKujira-related and non-.

So I have for CØSMOS:

@demexchange
@NolusProtocol
@osmosiszone
@Shade_Protocol
@stride_zone

And for Kujira I have:

@TeamKujira
@Manta_DAO

Levana

Now some of you may be wondering why I don't mention @Levana_protocol. It's there: I have LPs in @osmosiszone

and there're the order books on @TeamKujira FIN.

You'll note the latter: LVN/MNTA has no liquidity.

I'mma 'bout ta change that right now. See you in a few.

I transfer some $LVN from @osmosiszone to @TeamKujira and bid on the $LVN-boards on FIN.

The first seven bids and asks on LVN/MNTA order book are MINE, baybee, ALL MINE! 😎

2023-08-16 ETHBTC-THANG! Day 80

Let us do the ETHBTC-THANG!

2023-08-16 ETHBTC-THANG! Day 80

The ETHBTC-THANG!

  • swap 0.0000 $BTC (no swap)

ETH: 5.34815
BTC: 0.00000

Total: $9,731.74
TVL EMA-20: $9,942.86

n.b.: TVL EMA-20 indicates that ETHBTC, itself, is undervalued.

It looks (?) like $ATOM-price is on the up-swing. So I transfer my last buy-order amount to @cosmos then to @coinbase and place a sell-order against that $ATOM at a higher price.

The aim here is to convert the $ATOM to $ADA so I can purchase $iETH on @Indigo_protocol.

My $ATOM sell-order hit. I take that $USDC-liquidity and place an $ADA buy-order on @coinbase.

The $ADA buy-order hits in short order, so I move that liquidity to @Cardano.

2023-08-16 Indigo portfolio

$iBTC: 0 $0.00
$iETH: 0.586222 $1,066.72
$iUSD: 0 $0.00

total fees $12.911
total yields $3.721

CØSMOS interchain, ... or not.

A tale of 3 DEXen on CØSMOS interchain.

I want to swap $axlUSDC on @TeamKujira to $ATOM on @cosmos. Is that too much to ask?

Apparently it is.

Let's look at three DEXen: how they don't fill this simple request.

THIS IS CØSMOS _INTER_CHAIN and we can't even swap between zones.

  1. @tfm_com.

A small problem, or two:

  1. TFM doesn't recognize $axlUSDC on @TeamKujira.
  2. So, I use $USK? NUPE! TFM doesn't swap $USK to $ATOM, neither to @cosmos nor to @osmosiszone.

So, ... not so small problems. Not small at all.

  1. @Manta_DAO

Neat! These guys block me. For reasons I do not know.

Let's talk about there interchain swap.

It doesn't exist.

Let's talk about their swap.

It's ... 'better' than swapping directly on @TeamKujira FIN, ... for neophytes, but is it the best swap?

NUPE!

Let's look more closely at the @Manta_DAO swap.

It's straight-up axlUSDC/ATOM, so, if you went to @TeamKujira FIN and did this manually, you'd get the same result?

NUPE!

They charge you a percentage for doing the swap for you, in this case: 0.02 $ATOM.

Now, you may counter-argue: "But, geophf! I stake $MNTA! I get fees back in staking yields!"

No, you don't. You get 5% back, and NOT 5% of the fees, that's 5% for 100% of ALL $MNTA stakers.

You don't stake 100% of all the $MNTA in the world, do you?

No, the protocol owners do.

But, realistically, how much money do you make?

The only money I've ever made staking, so far, is on @harmonyprotocol, staking $ONE.

I did stake A LOT of $ONE. 😅

And that's what you need to do: you need to be another @SumoKuji, THEN you make money on OTHER PEOPLE's SWAPS.

So, @Manta_DAO has fees that make it subpar to FIN, but then, it's not even the best swap, not by a long shot.

@TeamKujira FIN is fundamentally better, every single limit order, but then:

  1. @osmosiszone is best, beating out both FIN and Manta.

But @osmosiszone is a DEX, it's not interchain, it's ... pseudo-interchain. It's quasi-interchain.

It takes 4 transfers, onto and off of @osmosiszone to $ATOM-ify $axlUSDC from @TeamKujira, as this tweet-in-🧵demonstrates

How, utterly, tiresome!

Conclusion: a call.

Now, looking at this 🧵, you may think I have a beef with one or all of these DEXen.

I don't. Each one provides a service/fills a need in the community in their respective ways.

I do have a request to CØSMOS BUIDL'rs.

Really? This is what one must do to swap between zones?

Until moving and trading liquidity is SEAMLESS, TRANSPARENT, and AUTOMATIC, that is: as easy as making a credit card purchase, then adoption will NOT go mainstream, but will continue to remain fringe.

Fringe: that 1% of us weirdos, nerds, geeks, and (supa)freaks.

Think about it
