My @SumoKuji vault report, 2023-12-23

Let's take a step back. I've been saying $STARS-this and $STARS-that in reference to my vault addy.

Where did these $STARS from come from? Thin air?

Nupe.

So, FRIST! Thanks to @kohola_io's help, I transferred 1,000 $USD from Coinb-se to @noble_xyz. With that I bought $STARS.

Then, I transfer $STARS to my vault addy on @TeamKujira via @StargazeZone using IBC.

Folks: learn IBC. Stop paying commissions to bridge apps when you can do this manually FO' FREE! huh?

Once on @TeamKujira I mint $USK from $STARS on BLUE.

But, so: now I have $1,000-worth of $STARS in my vault addy. This sounds like the perfect time to do my daily @SumoKuji vault report, eh?

O, Lordy, I'm Canadiène, now. 🇨🇦🙄

My @SumoKuji vault report, 2023-12-23

current value: $4,982.37
still to acquire: $4,015.47
vault target value: $94,629.94

undervalued tokens: $KUJI, $STARS

Buy Signals

Now, something neat you can do with this report, specifically the SPREADSHEETSZORXENN is to play pretend.

Let's pretend @SumoKuji's predictions will be correct.

That means undervalued tokens are WAY undervalued!

∴ This report gives you buy-signals.

FWIW.

CØSMOS interchain, ... or not.

A tale of 3 DEXen on CØSMOS interchain.

I want to swap $axlUSDC on @TeamKujira to $ATOM on @cosmos. Is that too much to ask?

Apparently it is.

Let's look at three DEXen: how they don't fill this simple request.

THIS IS CØSMOS _INTER_CHAIN and we can't even swap between zones.

  1. @tfm_com.

A small problem, or two:

  1. TFM doesn't recognize $axlUSDC on @TeamKujira.
  2. So, I use $USK? NUPE! TFM doesn't swap $USK to $ATOM, neither to @cosmos nor to @osmosiszone.

So, ... not so small problems. Not small at all.

  1. @Manta_DAO

Neat! These guys block me. For reasons I do not know.

Let's talk about there interchain swap.

It doesn't exist.

Let's talk about their swap.

It's ... 'better' than swapping directly on @TeamKujira FIN, ... for neophytes, but is it the best swap?

NUPE!

Let's look more closely at the @Manta_DAO swap.

It's straight-up axlUSDC/ATOM, so, if you went to @TeamKujira FIN and did this manually, you'd get the same result?

NUPE!

They charge you a percentage for doing the swap for you, in this case: 0.02 $ATOM.

Now, you may counter-argue: "But, geophf! I stake $MNTA! I get fees back in staking yields!"

No, you don't. You get 5% back, and NOT 5% of the fees, that's 5% for 100% of ALL $MNTA stakers.

You don't stake 100% of all the $MNTA in the world, do you?

No, the protocol owners do.

But, realistically, how much money do you make?

The only money I've ever made staking, so far, is on @harmonyprotocol, staking $ONE.

I did stake A LOT of $ONE. 😅

And that's what you need to do: you need to be another @SumoKuji, THEN you make money on OTHER PEOPLE's SWAPS.

So, @Manta_DAO has fees that make it subpar to FIN, but then, it's not even the best swap, not by a long shot.

@TeamKujira FIN is fundamentally better, every single limit order, but then:

  1. @osmosiszone is best, beating out both FIN and Manta.

But @osmosiszone is a DEX, it's not interchain, it's ... pseudo-interchain. It's quasi-interchain.

It takes 4 transfers, onto and off of @osmosiszone to $ATOM-ify $axlUSDC from @TeamKujira, as this tweet-in-🧵demonstrates

How, utterly, tiresome!

Conclusion: a call.

Now, looking at this 🧵, you may think I have a beef with one or all of these DEXen.

I don't. Each one provides a service/fills a need in the community in their respective ways.

I do have a request to CØSMOS BUIDL'rs.

Really? This is what one must do to swap between zones?

Until moving and trading liquidity is SEAMLESS, TRANSPARENT, and AUTOMATIC, that is: as easy as making a credit card purchase, then adoption will NOT go mainstream, but will continue to remain fringe.

Fringe: that 1% of us weirdos, nerds, geeks, and (supa)freaks.

Think about it

Thor swap for CØSMOS? a pensée

Yesterday, I had an interesting problem on @TeamKujira blockchain.

88 $ATOM came my way.

Wat do?

Arb $ATOM. The thing is, arb'n $ATOM is fine, but $stATOM also has its uses.

How to get $stATOM?

Three ways:

  1. trade on FIN.
  2. mint on @stride_zone
  3. swap on @osmosiszone

So, I decided to arb half-...ish my 88 $ATOM on the barometer @TeamKujira FIN board: KUJI/ATOM

barometer HOWTO.

The other half, I'll swap to $stATOM, but how? Which of the three ways is best?

My answer: I check each of the three ways, every time.

It turns out, the @osmosiszone swap was best this time, but one does not simply swap $ATOM on @TeamKujira on @osmosiszone.

One must do the following:

  1. Bridge $ATOM to @cosmos

  1. Bridge $ATOM to @osmosiszone

  1. swap to $stATOM

  1. Bridge to @stride_zone

  1. Bridge back.

The Terra station sees all @cosmos assets on all zones and labels them as such, so does KEPLR v 2.0.

I'm just wondering: is there a need for a protocol, kinda like @THORChain for CØSMOS, that lets you swap assets on any zone with anything?

That'd be sweet, fam.

That'd be sweet.

P.S.: Burn arbitrage

P.S.: now, all this was said, assuming a lot. Why am I arb'n $ATOM (and $stATOM) when I could slow-burn it on @stride_zone?

The answer is easy, once ./burn tells me there's no viable burn-scenario.

And, after this, that's why I did all the above

2023-08-05 ETHBTC-THANG! Day 69

2023-08-05 ETHBTC-THANG! Day 69

Happy 69th day of my ETHBTC experiment!

  • swap 0.0000 $BTC (no swap)

After swap:

ETH: 5.34815
BTC: 0.00000
Total: $9,777.31

That does not mean, since I have no $BTC to swap, that I'm not going to buy $ETH, ... at these prices?

And, yes, I remember when $ETH was $1.1k-per.

But BUY $ETH, yes.

So I swap some $DAI on @optimismFND to $OP on @VelodromeFi, the transfer that to my @coinbase wallet.

I have to say here, I do respect how @coinbase doesn't have a bridge, instead: you want $OP? Use an @optimismFND-address. You want $AVAX? Use an @avax-address. This doesn't solve all problems, but it does solve the bridge-hack-exploits that have been plaguing us of late.

For the DeFi-approach to this @THORChain has lead the way with multiple assets from multiple chains all under one ... 'chain'? ... 'umbrella'? ... 'wallet-that-has-multiple-addresses'?

Then there's @cosmos' IBC.

I wonder if this is the future of multichain liquidity.

HOWTO IBC transfer (ex: $ROAR from Kujira to Terra)

OKAY! MUH @TheLionDAO-ineans IN THE PRIDE!

There's been some cross-chain delays, bridge the $ROAR airdrop from @TeamKujira to Terra, so @hlboey recommended I use IBC-transfer. That worked swimmingly!

How to do it?

Step-by-step guide bridging $ROAR to Terra using IBC 🧵

Preliminaries

  • Go to your Keplr wallet, select Kujira zone

  • Go to settings (from upper left side drop down)

  • in settings, activate 'Developer Mode.'

You're now ready to cook, ... WITH GAS! 😤

LFG

Scan your Keplr wallet, paying particular attention to $ROAR's channel.

Then go to "IBC Transfer" and select $ROAR's Terra channel from the destination drop-down.

If you don't have it already, add it. (That's why you need that info from your $ROAR-hoarde).

Now, if this is your first time doing an IBC-transfer, may I suggest floating a trial balloon? 🎈

Transfer only 1,000 $ROAR and see if that ends up in your Terra wallet.

Better to lose 1,000 $ROAR than 10M $ROAR, amirite, fam?

Finna: transfer your $ROAR (duh). 🤪

I'm only transferring half, because the other half I put into the @TeamKujira BOW ROAR-USK LP, but you do what you like.

Once transferred, you can now stake your $ROAR on @TheLionDAO.

Which I do. Immediamenté.
