Let's arb $ATOM.
But before we do that, let's mint some $USK from the $ATOM I have on hand.
But before we do that, let's see how much $ATOM I have on hand.
See how complicated my life is? ← this is the part where you shower me with love and sympathy for my complicated life.
So, the first thing I do is go to BLUE and check my $ATOM-balance:
So, let's split the this $ATOM 50/50: mint/arb
I go to BLUE, again, and add 31 $ATOM to my bag, then mint 110 $USK.
Next, I go to ./vern, my main man, ./vern
That's totally whack. So, wat do?
I ask ./emily. I ask her nicely.
I propose 4 simple $ATOM-arb-paths. ./emily provides the results of running those paths at market prices.
Based upon those results, it's looking like:
The large sell-order is for an $ATOM-arb, so: I claim the $USK,
- ATOM,USK,axlUSDC,wETH,USK,ATOM
so I run the gantt-chart
and place the next order:
I collect the $axlUSDC (the buy-order hit), including the $ATOM arb'd amount.
I consult with ./vern, my main man, ./vern.
So I do:
- 2023-01-07 placed:
319.098 axlUSDC -> _ wETH, BUY at 1254.59 retracted - 2023-01-09 partially-filled: 71.1533 -> 0.0567 wETH, BUY at 1254.59
Okay, the wETH/axlUSDC board is a mess, as $wETH decided to sky this morning. I have one partially-filled order, and, wouldn't you know? it's for my $ATOM-arb.
SO! I have to figure out how to arb with a partial order.
Joy.
./vern? GIT OVAH HEAHE! I NEED YUR HELP! 😤😤😤
So, what I did was to set up two sets of trades:
1. 0.0567 wETH -> _ ATOM
AND
2. The remaining axlUSDC: 247.9447 -> _ ATOM
./vern, my main man, ./vern pathed those trades, coming up with 29.4 $ATOM, which is LESS than the 30.9286 $ATOM we started with.
What I CAN do is get creative with my orders and finesse my way back to 31 $ATOM.
But I'm not going to do that. Why?
I traded $ATOM for $wETH at a deep discount to today's price. AND I have $ATOM-for-arbing in reserve.
I'm going to keep the $wETH gained and declare victory! ✌️
- 2023-01-09: 30.9286 $ATOM arb cancelled
